Huntingdon wins conference opener over Wesleyan

MACON, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team opened its USA South Athletic Conference schedule on Saturday with a 9-0 win over Wesleyan College.
With the win, the Lady Hawks improve to 2-2 and 1-0 in the conference. Wesleyan falls to 0-3 and 0-1 in conference play.
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Zoya Robinson and Josie Waddell and the No. 3 team of Clayton Waring and Virginia Gaston each won 8-0.
The No. 2 team of Heather Tabor and Kacey Stephens took an 8-2 win.
During singles play, the Lady Hawks saw similar results. (No. 1) Dusty Catala won 6-2, 6-2, (No. 2) Zoya Robinson won 6-3, 6-0, (No. 3) Heather Tabor won 6-2, 6-3, (No. 4) Clayton Waring won 6-0, 6-3, (No. 5) Kacey Stephens won 6-1, 6-1 and (No. 6) Jordan Fleming won 6-1, 6-2.
The Lady Hawks travel to Agnes Scott for a noon match on Sunday.
