Lady Hawks defeat Agnes Scott 8-1

DECATUR, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's tennis earned its second USA South Athletic Conference win of the season after beating Agnes Scott 8-1 on Sunday.
Huntingdon (3-2, 2-0 USA South) swept doubles play and won five singles matches.
The No. 1 team of Zoya Robinson and Josie Waddell battled hard in a close match and took an 8-6 victory.
The No. 2 team of Heather Tabor and Caroline McBroom and the No. 3 team of Dusty Catala and Mariah Bastos each cruised to victories. Tabor and McBroom won 8-3 while Catala and Bastos won 8-2.
In singles, Robinson took a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 4 spot while McBroom won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 6 spot.
Waddell won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2, Tabor won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 and Catala won 6-3, 7-5 at No. 1.
Huntingdon hosts Rust and Berry College on Saturday. The Lady Hawks will play Rust at 10 a.m. and Berry at 2 p.m.
