Huntingdon falls to Covenant

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team lost 7-2 to Covenant on Friday.

The Lady Hawks fall to 4-1 in the USA South Athletic Conference and have a 12-5 overall record. The Scots improve to 11-7 and are a perfect 6-0 in conference play.

In doubles, the No. 3 team of Joise Waddell and Caroline McBroom took an 8-1 win.  

In singles play, freshman Clayton Waring won at No. 6 in three sets. Waring dropped her first set 5-7, but rebounded with a 6-3 second set and won the tiebreaker 11-9.

Huntingdon hosts Piedmont on Saturday at 11 a.m.
