Lady Hawks knock off Belhaven in home opener

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won its home opener with an 8-1 victory over Belhaven on Friday.

The Lady Hawks won two doubles matches and all six singles matches.

The No. 2 doubles team of Zoya Robinson and Josie Waddell won 8-1 and the No. 3 team of Clayton Waring and Lucy Burch won 8-0.

In singles, Waddell (No. 1) won 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(5), Robinson (No. 2) won 6-0, 6-0, Kacy Howard (No. 3) won 6-1, 6-0, Heather Tabor (No. 4) won 7-5, 6-2, Caroline McBroom (No. 5) won 6-2, 6-3 and Waring (No. 6) won 6-1, 6-2.
