Huntingdon rolls past LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga.  – The Huntingdon women's tennis team knocked off LaGrange on Wednesday to pick up its second straight 9-0 conference win.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Zoya Robinson and Josie Waddell won 8-1 and the No. 2 team of Caroline McBroom and Heather Tabor and the No. 3 team of Kacy Howard and Clayton Waring each won 8-2.                                                      

In singles, Howard won 4-6, 6-1, 10-6 at No. 1 singles. The Lady Hawks won the remaining five singles matches in straight sets.

Waddell (No. 2) won 6-2, 6-1, Robinson (No. 3) won 6-3, 6-1, Tabor (No. 4) won 6-1, 6-1, McBroom (No. 5) won 6-0, 6-0 and Waring (No. 6) won 6-0, 6-1.

Records: Huntingdon (9-1, 3-0 USA South); LaGrange (5-7, 1-2 USA South)

Coming Up: Huntingdon hosts Berea and Albany State on Saturday. The match with Berea is set for noon with the Albany State match to follow.
