Huntingdon falls to Methodist in USA South semifinals

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team lost to Methodist 8-1 on Saturday in the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals.

Methodist is the two-time defending tournament champion and has won nine conference tournament titles in the past 11 years. The Monarchs are ranked 10th in the ITA Atlantic South Region.

This was Huntingdon's third appearance in the USA South semifinals in the past five seasons.

Senior Caroline McBroom won 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 at No. 5 singles for the Lady Hawks. The win was the 104th of McBroom's Huntingdon career. She has 53 singles victories and 51 doubles victories. For the NCAA era at Huntingdon, McBroom ranks third in singles wins, doubles wins and total wins.
