Huntingdon splits with Louisiana College and Millsaps

JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team beat Louisiana College 8-1 and lost to Millsaps 7-2 on Saturday.

Josie Waddell picked up two wins on the day, winning 6-0, 6-0 in both matches. Waddell played No. 1 singles against Louisiana College and No. 3 singles against Millsaps.

Against Louisiana College, Heather Tabor (No. 2 singles), Kacey Stephens (No. 5) and Alex Burnham (No. 6) each won 6-0, 6-0. Lucy Burch won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. In doubles, the No. 1 team of Waddell and Zoya Robinson won 8-1 and the No. 2 team (Clayton Waring and Burnham) and No. 3 team (Burch and Stephens) each won 8-0.

In addition to Waddell, Burch (No. 5) also won in singles against Millsaps.
