HUNTINGDON VOLLEYBALL WINS TWO ON TUESDAY

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team picked up two wins in a tri-match on Tuesday.

The Hawks beat Rust College 26-24, 25-17, 25-19 and host Stillman 25-17, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19.

Abby Carter led the Hawks with nine kills against Rust and Melony Motley and Allyson Brislinger each had six kills. Alyssa Eason recorded 22 assists and six digs and Ashlee Walters turned in 10 digs. Diane Humphreys finished with two aces and Abby Brown had two solo blocks and two block assists.

Against Stillman, Carter totaled seven kills, three solo blocks, two block assists and three aces. Brown led the team in kills with eight and Brislinger, Motley and Humphreys each had five kills. Brislinger also had a solo block and three block assists.

Eason had 28 assists and Walters finished with eight digs and two aces. Storm McWhorter led the Hawks in digs with nine.

Huntingdon (5-14) travels to Piedmont on Saturday for a tri-match. The Hawks open with Spelman at 1 p.m. before playing Piedmont at 3 p.m.
