Huntingdon volleyball loses final two matches of Huntingdon Jubilee

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team fell to Mississippi College and Piedmont on the final day of the Huntingdon College Jubilee on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks lost to Mississippi College 25-21, 6-25, 16-25, 14-25 and Piedmont edged Huntingdon 25-16, 25-23, 25-21.

Kali Martin led Huntingdon (1-3) with 11 kills, 11 digs and three aces in the two matches and Lexi Rangel had 31 assists. Against Mississippi College, Victoria Hurd recorded eight digs and Lauren Rozof had seven digs. Against the Lions, Rozof finished with five kills and seven digs, Abby Brown had five kills and Hurd had six digs.

"This weekend was a good learning experience for the players and the coaching staff," Huntingdon head coach Amy Patterson said. "We had an idea of what we needed to work on, but you really don't know until you step on the court with another team. This tournament has given us an idea of where we stand and I think we can build on it as we move forward."
