Huntingdon volleyball closes out home schedule with 12th win of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team made Tuesday a memorable night for the team's three seniors.

Hosting Judson in a breast cancer awareness match, Huntingdon won 25-9, 25-19, 25-15 and helped seniors Melissa Baswell, Bianca Hulsey and Victoria Hurd win their final home match.

"It was a good night," Huntingdon head coach Amy Patterson said. "It was Senior Night and I'm glad we could send our seniors out with a win in their final match in this gym. It was also great to see such a good turnout for breast cancer awareness. Between T-shirt sales and generous donations, we were able to raise money for a good cause."

An exact figure was not readily available Tuesday night, but money from T-shirt sales and donations will be donated to the Joy to Life Foundation.

In the match, Lauren Rozof had seven kills and five digs for the Lady Hawks (12-10) and Kali Martin added four kills, eight aces and four digs. Hulsey finished with 13 assists and Lexi Rangel had seven assists. Baswell recorded seven digs and Abby Brown had two blocks.

Huntingdon returns to action at Wesleyan on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
