MONTGOMERY, Ala. –The Huntingdon volleyball team opens the season on Friday with the second annual Huntingdon College Jubilee.

"We are very excited to host this tournament for a second straight year," Huntingdon head coach Amy Patterson said. "I think it is not only great for the girls to be able to start off the season at home, but I think it is a great thing for the school."

In addition to Huntingdon, the five-team tournament includes Mississippi College, LaGrange College, Birmingham-Southern and Agnes Scott. Each team will play two matches on Friday and two matches on Saturday.

All matches will be played in Roland Arena.

The Lady Hawks are coming off a 15-18 season in which they finished second in the Great South Athletic Conference. Entering their first season in the USA South Athletic Conference, Huntingdon returns five players, including starters Kali Martin, Lexi Rangel and Ally Brislinger. Martin and Rangel were both named to the GSAC All-Freshman team in 2012.

The Lady Hawks welcome 13 new players this season.

"At this point, we have several younger players that are showing potential," Patterson said. "Right now it is an even starting field and we are still trying to find those that are really standing out. After this weekend, we will have a better idea. This will be a good way to kick the season off and see where we stand."

Huntingdon opens the tournament with LaGrange at 10 a.m. on Friday. The complete tournament schedule is below.
