MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team started strong, but couldn't hold off Pensacola Christian in a five-game match on Tuesday night.
The Lady Hawks won the first two games before dropping the final three in a 25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 21-25, 11-15 loss.
Kali Martin had a team-high nine kills and also had 14 digs for Huntingdon (4-5). Cora Murchison turned in a team-high 15 assists to go with five digs and three aces. Lexi Rangel totaled 12 assists, five digs and five kills.
Bria Rochelle recorded six aces, six kills and 10 digs. Lauren Condon had a team-high 24 digs and Bobie Wilson finished with nine digs and four aces.
Huntingdon opens conference play on Saturday in Roland Arena with a tri-match against Piedmont and LaGrange. Huntingdon and Piedmont play at 11 a.m., Piedmont and LaGrange play at 1 p.m. and Huntingdon and LaGrange play at 3 p.m.
