Volleyball falls against Peace and N.C. Wesleyan

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team lost a pair of USA South Athletic Conference matches on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks went to five games against William Peace but fell 19-25, 25-17, 25-15, 22-25, 12-15 before falling in three games to North Carolina Wesleyan 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Freshman Brooke Garrison had 15 kills in the two matches for Huntingdon (4-13, 0-6 USA South). Garrison had eight kills against Peace (7-15, 5-4 USA South) and seven kills against the Battling Bishops (4-13, 3-6 USA South).

Against Peace, Rachel Dunlay had a team-high 12 kills, Lexi Rangel had 18 assists and 10 digs, Cora Murchison had 17 assists and 10 digs, Lauren Condon had 21 digs, Bobie Wilson had 10 digs and Kalen Morgan finished with three blocks.

In the match with North Carolina Wesleyan, Morgan had five kills and two blocks, Rangel had 12 assists and 13 digs, Murchison had nine assists, Condon finished with 13 digs and Brittany Frost added 11 digs.

Huntingdon travels to Pensacola Christian for a 6 p.m. match on Monday.
