Huntingdon volleyball loses to Fisk and Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon volleyball team fell to Fisk and Sewanee during the first day of the Sewanee Tournament on Friday.

The Hawks lost to Fisk 25-22, 25-20, 25-20 and lost to Sewanee 25-12, 25-13, 25-17.

Against Fisk, Bria Rochelle led Huntingdon (2-4) with seven kills and eight digs and Cora Murchison had 17 assists and nine digs. Audrianna Hargitt and Emily Gaines each had five kills. Bobie Wilson finished with 12 digs, Lauren Condon had 11 digs and Lexi Rangel had 10 digs.

In the Sewanee match, Rochelle recorded eight kills and eight digs and Murchison had 14 assists. Hargitt added five kills and five digs and Condon had 18 digs.

Huntingdon returns to action in the Sewanee Tournament on Saturday. The Hawks are scheduled to play LaGrange at 11 a.m. and Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
