Huntingdon falls to Peace and N.C. Wesleyan

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Huntingdon volleyball team traveled to North Carolina on Saturday for a pair of USA South Athletic Conference matches.

The Hawks fell to William Peace 29-27, 25-14, 25-20 and lost to North Carolina Wesleyan 25-17, 25-18, 26-28, 25-13.

Audrianna Hargitt led the Hawks (6-16, 0-8 USA South) with 34 kills and seven blocks in the two matches. Bria Rochelle added 26 kills on the day and Kalen Morgan had 21 kills. Cora Murchison finished the day with 60 assists.

Against Peace (15-7, 8-4 USA South), Hargitt recorded 12 kills and three blocks, Rochelle had 11 kills and Morgan added 10 kills. Murchison turned in 25 assists, Lauren Condon had 15 digs and Lexi Rangel followed with 12 digs.

In the match with the Battling Bishops (7-13, 4-8 USA South), Hargitt totaled 22 kills and four blocks and Rochelle recorded 15 kills and 11 digs. Morgan finished with 11 kills, Murchison had 35 assists and 13 digs and Condon had 12 digs.

Huntingdon plays at Salem on Sunday at 1 p.m.
