Hawks lose two matches in USA South quad-match

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon volleyball team fell to Greensboro College and Methodist University in a pair of USA South Athletic Conference matches on Sunday.

Huntingdon lost to Greensboro 25-18, 25-15, 26-24 and lost to Methodist 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

Audrianna Hargitt, Kalen Morgan and Bria Rochelle combined for 47 kills and 56 digs in the two matches and Devyn Stringer recorded 53 assists.

In the loss to Greensboro, Hargitt had a team-high 10 kills to go with nine digs. Morgan and Taylor Wright each had six kills and Rochelle had 10 digs. Stringer finished with 25 assists and four aces. Shelby Young had 10 digs and three aces. Celeste Walton had two blocks.

In the Methodist match, Morgan had a team-high 10 kills to go with eight digs. Hargitt added nine kills and a team-high 13 digs and Rochelle had nine kills, nine digs and two blocks. Stringer finished with 28 assists and two blocks, Young had 11 digs and Walton had two blocks.

Huntingdon (6-16, 2-6 USA South) hosts Covenant on Thursday at 6 p.m.
