Hargitt earns first-team West Division honors from USA South
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon senior Audrianna Hargitt earned first-team West Division honors with the release of the USA South's All-Conference volleyball awards on Thursday.
Hargitt is the first Huntingdon volleyball player to be recognized since the Hawks joined the USA South in 2013.
A native of Cedar Bluff, Ala., Hargitt led the Hawks with 311 kills and 49 blocks this season. She was second on the team with 37 aces and third with 269 digs. Hargitt finished with 626 kills in her two seasons with the Hawks.
Junior Bria Rochelle was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team for a second straight season.
Averett's Hannah Shields was named conference Player of the Year and Averett head coach Danny Miller was named Coach of the Year. Meredith's Caroline Corey earned Rookie of the Year honors and Piedmont's Haley Hixon was selected as the Libero of the Year.
