Preseason volleyball poll released by USA South

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Meredith and Covenant are the preseason Division favorites in the USA South Athletic conference preseason volleyball poll released on Thursday.
Huntingdon is fifth in the West Division poll with 25 points.
Defending conference champion Covenant leads the West Division with seven first-place votes and 49 points and Maryville is second with one first-place vote and 40 points. Tied for third-place in the West Division, with a total of 34 points each, are Brevard and Piedmont.
Rounding out the West Division are Lagrange (19 points) in sixth, Agnes Scott (14 points) in seventh and Berea (9 points) in eighth.
Meredith picked up four first-place votes and 59 points to lead the East Division. Averett, the 2017 East Division champion, is second with four first-place votes and 58 points. William Peace sits in third with one first-place vote and 45 points.
