Huntingdon opens conference play with sweep of Brevard and Piedmont

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team swept Brevard and Piedmont to open conference play on Saturday.

The Hawks downed Brevard 25-14, 25-20, 25-12 and knocked off Piedmont 25-15, 25-23, 25-21. With the two wins, Huntingdon extended its winning streak to five matches.

Amy Tyma (21), April Reese (19) and Addison Genard (18) combined for 58 of the Hawks' 81 kills in the two matches. Morgan Ilsley (36) and Ashley Murphy (31) combined for 67 assists and Reese (35) and Tyma (26) combined for 61 digs.
