Hawks down Pensacola Christian for 18th win of the season

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Huntingdon volleyball team beat Pensacola Christian 25-14, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23 on Thursday night.

The win was the 18th of the season, marking the third straight season the Hawks have reached at least 18 wins.

Amy Tyma (20), April Reese (14), Addison Genard (10) and Shelby McAllister (8) combined for 52 of the Hawks' 56 kills. Ashley Murphy had 29 assists and Tyma turned in a season-high 28 digs. Tyma, Lexie DeVuyst (13), Reese (9) and Morgan Ilsley (9) combined for 59 of Huntingdon's 65 digs.

Notable: With 407 kills this season, Tyma leads the USA South Athletic Conference and ranks in the top-10 nationally in kills. With the release of the national statistics earlier this week, Tyma ranked seventh in Division III. As a team, Huntingdon ranks 15th in Division III in kills this season and 19th in assists.
