Huntingdon men and women open cross country season
OXFORD, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's and women's cross country teams began competition on Friday in the JSU Strut's Season Opener.
The Huntingdon men placed eighth in a 10-team division with a score of 231 and the women were ninth in a 10-team division with a score of 287.
The race featured two divisions, a Red Division for Division I teams and a White Division for Division II, Division III and NAIA programs. Huntingdon and Birmingham-Southern were the only two Division III programs competing.
Notable: Division II University of Alabama-Huntsville won the men's race and the Division II North Georgia won the women's race. The UAH men won with a score of 26 points and the North Georgia women won with a score of 33 points.
