Huntingdon opens cross country season

OXFORD, Ala. – The Huntingdon cross country program opened the season in the JSU Strut's Season Opener on Friday night.

In a 16-team field that included Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA programs, the Huntingdon men placed 14th with a score of 399 and an average time of 21:07.32. On the women's side, Huntingdon competed with one runner.

Huntingdon, Piedmont and Birmingham-Southern were the only Division III teams in the field.

                                                                         

Notable: Division I Mercer won the men's race and Division I Kennesaw State won the women's race. Mercer won the men's race with a score of 49 points and an average time of 16:09.76. Kennesaw State won the women's race with a score of 46 points and an average time of 19:39.94.
