Updated Huntingdon spectator policy for outdoor athletic events

Huntingdon College announced today that it has updated an institutional policy governing spectators attending any on-campus outdoor athletic event to allow two spectators per student-athlete of the host institution per game.  The updated policy, which will take effect for games beginning March 10, fully incorporates the spectator policy adopted by the USA South Athletic Conference of which Huntingdon is a member institution.

The majority of Huntingdon's contests will be broadcast live online on the Huntingdon athletic YouTube page.  Please be aware that contest dates and times may change suddenly.  Please check each respective sports schedule online for the most current information.

The complete game-day protocols can be found below.

Spring 2021 Game Day Protocols

Effective for games beginning March 10

Two (2) family members of each active member of the Huntingdon team may be permitted to attend outdoor events and must be on a pre-submitted pass list.

The two admits per student-athlete are non-transferrable, and cannot be extended to another family.

All spectator names must be submitted by the head coach to the Huntingdon Athletic Director 24 hours prior to a game.

All spectators must check-in at a designated table at each athletic venue.  Upon successful completion of check-in, all spectators will receive a colored wrist band that only permits them to attend their approved event for that day.

Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and no entrance will be allowed for any spectators or students prior to that window.

No concessions will be made available.

Absolutely no physical contact between families and their student-athletes will be permitted during the campus visit.

In compliance with USA South Athletic Conference protocols:

·        All designated spectators must wear a mask or face covering at all times, maintain social distancing from other spectators, and wash and sanitize hands.

·        Spectators will not be allowed to interact with players and coaches at the venue and are expected to leave the venue immediately at the conclusion of the contest.

·        Tailgating is prohibited.

·        No spectators from the visiting team will be allowed.

·        Failure by the host institution spectators to comply with institutional and/or conference policy may lead to suspension and/or termination of a game.

Huntingdon students are welcome at all outdoor events but will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the event and maintain social distancing at all times.
