Hawks stumble in Game 2 of LaGrange series

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team led early but fell to LaGrange College 11-3 on Saturday in the second game of a three-game USA South Athletic Conference series.

The Hawks lost the first game of the series 9-0 on Friday night. The two teams are scheduled to play Game 3 on Sunday at 1 p.m.

On Saturday, the Hawks (10-9, 2-3 USA South) led 3-2 in the fifth inning before LaGrange (12-9, 4-4 USA South) pulled away.

Josh Hines and Landon Sessions each had two hits for Huntingdon. Hines also scored one run. Cody Shoemaker, Mason Throneberry and Alec Raley each had an RBI for the Hawks and Anthony Spivey and Jordan Criswell each scored one run.

Zach McGrady (3-3) took the loss in five innings.
