Hawks lose Game 3, but win conference series against LaGrange

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team lost to LaGrange 9-3 on Sunday in the final game of a three-game USA South Athletic Conference series.

Huntingdon won the first two games of the series 9-2 and 6-3.  

The Hawks built a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning, but fell behind in the fifth inning. LaGrange pulled away with five runs in the final three innings.

Bradley Harris and Joseph Calvert combined for five of Huntingdon's six hits. Harris was 3-for-4 with a run and Calvert was 2-for-4 with a run. Wes Powell, Coleson Taylor and Dakota Beane each had one RBI and Will Cosby scored one run.

Brooks Freeman (1-1) took the loss in 6 1/3 innings.
