IRVING, Texas – Six Huntingdon football players were named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's Hampshire Honor Society on Tuesday. Huntingdon's 2014 selections are running back Garrett Fletcher, defensive back Dakota Hooper, long snapper Cameron Lewis, receiver Tyler Robinson, quarterback Ryne Taylor and defensive back Ryan White.

MINNEAPOLIS – Huntingdon offensive linemen Joey Peacock and Chael Pridgen were both recognized as All-South Region performers Monday evening with the release of the ninth annual D3football.com All-South Region teams. Peacock was named third-team All-Region at offensive guard and Pridgen was named third-team All-Region at offensive tackle. This is the third straight year Huntingdon has had at least two All-Region performers. Peacock and Pridgen are the first Huntingdon offensive linemen to earn All-Region honors.

Offensive linemen Joey Peacock and Chael Pridgen and defensive back Anthony White were each named first-team All-Conference and running back Garrett Fletcher, H-Back/tight end Darius Dawsey and linebacker John-David Swiger were each named second-team All-Conference.

DANVILLE, Va. – The Huntingdon football team put together one of the best offensive and defensive performances in program history on Saturday. In a 50-20 win over Averett University, the Hawks rolled up 717 yards of offense and held Averett to 168 yards of offense. The total offense is the third best performance in school history and the yards allowed by the defense is the eighth best performance.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon Hawks set the tone in the first quarter and never let up in a 59-35 win over North Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday. The Hawks scored four touchdowns and rushed for 136 yards in the first quarter and put the game away in the second half. The 59 points are tied for the fifth most scored by the Hawks in a game.

LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon football team came up short Saturday night in a key USA South Athletic Conference game. The Hawks led by 16 points in the fourth quarter before LaGrange scored 20 points in the final 10 minutes for a 44-40 win. The defeat was the first conference loss for the Hawks (4-2, 2-1 USA South) and just the second loss to LaGrange (3-3, 3-1) in eight meetings. Huntingdon had won four straight against the Panthers.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team gave Wesley College a battle on Saturday. But for the second straight season, the Wolverines rallied in the fourth quarter to win by 10 points. The 22nd-ranked Hawks led by 11 points entering the fourth quarter. But Wesley, ranked 12th by the American Football Coaches Association and 10th by D3football.com, scored three touchdowns in the final 15 minutes to win 38-28.
