IRVING, Texas – Two Huntingdon football players were named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday. Offensive lineman Chael Pridgen and linebacker Jacob Wright were among the 868 players from 275 schools named to the 2016 Hampshire Honor Society.

This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the fifth-year event. Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, six student-athletes will be featured this week. Huntingdon senior Heath McCray is today's featured student-athlete.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Former Huntingdon receiver Taylor Belsterling was drafted in the first round in the inaugural Major League Football draft on Wednesday. Belsterling, a Montgomery native, was chosen as a "franchise player" when he was selected with the No. 3 overall draft pick.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team earned a spot in the final rankings of two national polls with the release of the American Football Coaches Association poll and the D3football.com poll. Huntingdon is No. 24 in the final AFCA poll and No. 25 in the final D3football.com poll. This is the first time the Hawks have been ranked in both polls at the same time.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The postseason accolades continue for Huntingdon senior Anthony White. White, who was named an honorable mention All-American safety by D3football.com on Friday, has also been named a second-team defensive back on the AP Little All-America team. The AP team is comprised of Division II, Division III and NAIA players.

MINNEAPOLIS – Huntingdon seniors Heath McCray and Anthony White were each recognized with the release of the D3football.com All-American teams on Friday night. McCray was named honorable mention All-American at defensive tackle and White was named honorable mention All-American at safety.

MINNEAPOLIS – Three Huntingdon seniors received All-South Region honors with the release of the D3football.com All-Region team on Monday afternoon. Defensive lineman Heath McCray earned first-team honors and safety Anthony White and offensive guard Chael Pridgen each earned second-team recognition.

Huntingdon falls in playoff battle with 10th-ranked Crusaders

BELTON, Texas – The Huntingdon football team faced its toughest challenge of the season on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. The Hawks battled perennial power Mary Hardin-Baylor into the fourth quarter before the 10th-ranked Crusaders pulled ahead for a 43-23 win. This was the 27th playoff win for Mary Hardin-Baylor since the program began in 1998.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – During the 2004-2005 academic year the USA South Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee instituted a Conference-wide Sportsmanship Award. Today, the USA South is pleased to announce the Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2015 fall sports season. Mary Baldwin College collected the award for women's soccer for the fourth consecutive season, Covenant College collected accolades in men's soccer for the third consecutive season while their volleyball squad earned honors. Wrapping up the fall awards was Huntingdon College who earned the honor in the sport of football.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon senior Anthony White soaked in the moment, let the realization sink in and tried to put the Hawks' first playoff win in perspective. Just minutes after the Hawks knocked off Hendrix 38-27 on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, White and his teammates were enjoying another milestone accomplishment.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon Hawks received three of the top-five individual awards and had a total of 16 players named All-Conference with the release of the USA South All-Conference football team on Wednesday. Senior safety Anthony White was named Defensive Player of the Year, freshman linebacker Trey Hayes was named Defensive Rookie of the Year and head coach Mike Turk was named Coach of the Year.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Linebacker Vincent Lee was named a USA South Athlete of the Week on Monday. Lee, a freshman from Bessemer, Ala., was named Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in a 44-13 win over Averett University.
