Huntingdon men’s winning streak ends at LaGrange

LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team fell behind late in the first half and lost to LaGrange College 90-68 on Wednesday.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Huntingdon (5-10, 1-1 Great South Athletic Conference).

The game was tied with five minutes left in the first half. But LaGrange (8-10, 3-0 GSAC) closed the half with a 19-9 run and led 45-35 at halftime. The Panthers continued to pull ahead in the second half.

Jeremiah Thomas' fifth double-double of the season led Huntingdon. Thomas finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds. The junior also had three blocked shots. Ryan Petty added 13 points, five assists and five rebounds and Austin Hill had seven rebounds.

Kyron Anderson led LaGrange with 22 points and seven assists. Aaron Power added 17 points, Denzel Robinson scored 16 points and Marcus Vaughn and Nick Mitchell each had 11 points. Vaughn also had 14 rebounds.

Huntingdon returns to Roland Arena on Saturday as the Hawks hosts Covenant at 3 p.m.
