Men’s basketball closes season against Maryville

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team closed out its season with an 86-62 loss to Maryville College on Saturday.

Maryville (13-12, 8-6 USA South) started the game with a 16-0 run before a layup by Raheem Berry put points on the board for the Hawks (3-22, 2-12 USA South). The Scots built a 23-point lead twice in the first half and took a 40-25 lead into halftime.

Senior Alex Layson led Huntingdon with 19 points. In their final games as Hawks, senior Taylor Hughes had five rebounds and senior Jerome Davis had seven points and five assists. Sophomore Andre Ashley finished with eight points and five rebounds and junior Dantavius Washington had eight points and two blocks.
