Huntingdon loses to LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team suffered its biggest defeat this season, losing to LaGrange 100-67 on Wednesday night.

The Hawks (6-7, 1-4 USA South) fell behind early and entered halftime trailing 52-28. Huntingdon pulled within 11 points midway through the second-half before LaGrange went on a 28-3 run, leading 91-55 with 5:20 remaining.

"We aren't playing well in all areas except for rebounding," Huntingdon head coach Mike Pugh said. "They scored 33 points off of our 24 turnovers. We will keep working and get better."

LaGrange (11-3, 3-1 USA South) shot 48 percent from behind the arc, making 16 3-pointers.

Montgomery native Andre Ashley led Huntingdon with 15 points and recorded five rebounds.

11 players scored for the Hawks. Freshman Brandon McLean scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds. Dantavius Washington added eight points and five rebounds.

Huntingdon plays Greensboro College on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Roland Arena.
