JACKSON, Miss. – Freshman Jahal Robinson scored 20 points to lead the Huntingdon men's basketball team past Belhaven 87-70 on Tuesday night.

Trailing by three at half, the Hawks (8-9) outscored the Blazers 50-30 to pick up their second win in a row. Huntingdon took their final lead of the game, 57-55, off an Andre Ashley three-pointer with 11:05 remaining.

Huntingdon went on to score 30 points to beat Belhaven (2-15) for a second time this season. The Hawks won the first meeting on Dec. 12, 84-40 in overtime.

"We played great defense in the second half and I was happy with the team effort," Huntingdon head coach Mike Pugh said. "Freshman Jahal Robinson played great at the point and we shot the ball well."

Robinson made his first start of the season and was one of four Hawks to score 15 or more points. He added five rebounds, two assists and two steals and went five-for-seven from the field and 10-12 from the free throw line.

Ashley recorded his third double-double this season with 17 points and 10 rebounds while R.J. Jones hit six three-pointers on the night and finished with 18 points and three assists. Raheem Berry scored 15 points and added three rebounds.
