MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team rallied late in the second-half but fell to Covenant 81-80 on Wednesday night in Roland Arena.

Trailing by 14 points with 8:31 left in the game, the Hawks (2-20, 0-11 USA South Athletic Conference) chipped away at the deficit and pulled within three points off a pair of Aaron Washington free-throws.

Both teams traded baskets and Huntingdon pulled within one point off a Trey Livingston layup, but time ran out on the Hawks.

Livingston scored a career-high 21 points in the loss while senior Andre Ashley added 14 points and tied a career-high with 13 rebounds.

Both teams battled close to start the game, as there were nine lead changes. Huntingdon jumped out to a 27-19 with 8:47 left in the opening half, but the Scots used a 20-5 run and led 39-32 with over three minutes to play.

The Hawks used a run of their own and led 45-41 at halftime.

The Scots (12-10, 5-6 USA South) slowly built a lead to start the second-half and led by 14 with 8:31 left.
