Huntingdon men’s golf finishes 12th in Golfweek Fall Invitation

SANDESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon men's golf team turned in its best round in the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitation in the final round on Tuesday.

Junior Jamey Lester shot a 1-under-par 70 in the final round at the Raven Golf Course and junior Rodes Bowers shot a 1-over 72 to help Huntingdon shoot 297 in Round 3. For the tournament, the Hawks shot 905 to finish 12th.

St. John's-Minnesota won the tournament, shooting 876. LaGrange College was second at 877. LaGrange's Cory Howard shot an 8-under 205 to earn medalist honors.

Huntingdon sophomore Steven Smith, who shot 75 in the final round, finished the tournament at 222. Behind Smith, Lester shot 223, Bowers shot 226, junior Tyler Schmutz shot 240 and freshman David James shot 242.
