Huntingdon men’s golf places 3rd in Emory Spring Invitational

RESULTS

 

ATLANTA – Three Hawks shot par or better on Tuesday to lead the men's golf team to a third-place finish in the Emory Spring Invitational at Druid Hills Golf Club.

Griffin Just shot a 2-under-par 70 in the final round, David James shot a 1-under 71 and Jamey Lester shot an even-par 72. As a team, Huntingdon shot 290 on Tuesday and finished with a two-round total of 589.

Oglethorpe won the Invitational with a 571 and Methodist University was second at 578. Oglethorpe's Anthony Maccaglia shot a 5-under 67 in the final round and earned medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 138.

Huntingdon's just tied for seventh at 145, James tied for ninth at 146 and Lester was 18th at 149. Tyler Schmutz finished at 152 and Steven Smith shot 154.

Huntingdon returns to action on April 14th in the Rhodes Invitational.
