Six Huntingdon golfers named Academic All-Americans

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Six Huntingdon golfers were recently recognized as Academic All-Americans. Rodes Bowers, Griffin Just, Jamey Lester and Steven Smith were named to the Golf Coaches Association of America's Cleveland/Srixon All-America Scholar team and Saem Hur and Courtney Harville were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association's All-American Scholar team.
134 Hawks recognized on USA South Academic All-Conference Team

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 308 in the final round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate on Tuesday to finish third with a score of 611. The Hawks shot 303 in the opening round. Senior Rodes Bowers finished fifth individually with a score of 150. Bowers shot a 1-over-par 73 on Monday and a 5-over 77 on Tuesday.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Senior Rodes Bowers shot a 1-over-par 73 to lead the Huntingdon men's golf team in the opening round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate on Monday. As a team, the Hawks shot 303 and are in third entering Tuesday's final round at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club. The Hawks were in second until late in the round.
Huntingdon men’s golf fires final round 285 in Jekyll Island Collegiate

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's golf team turned in its best round in three seasons during the final round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate on Sunday. The Hawks' 3-under-par 285 in the third round was the best round by any team during the tournament and helped the Hawks climb from 22nd to 11th in the final results of the 30-team tournament. Huntingdon finished with a three-round total of 896.

As a team, the Hawks are in 10th in the 16-team field entering Sunday's final round at the Mountain View Golf Club. Huntingdon shot 312 on Saturday in its first competition of the spring.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's golf team is looking for a return to national prominence this spring. Coming off a disappointing spring in which the Hawks missed the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time, Huntingdon showed improvement in the fall season. The Hawks expect to continue building this spring.
Huntingdon men’s golf ranked fourth in preseason USA South poll

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's golf team will open the spring as the fourth-ranked team in the USA South Athletic Conference. The Hawks totaled 70 points in the preseason poll released on Thursday. Huntingdon is ranked behind preseason favorite LaGrange, No. 2 Methodist and No. 3 Greensboro.
