Hawks shoot 306 in 1st round of Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational

DESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 306 in the opening round of the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational on Sunday.

Juniors Steven Smith and Tyler McLelland and freshman Will Thrash each shot 5-over-par 76 in the first round at the Raven Golf Club. Senior Rodes Bowers shot 78 and senior Steven Smith shot 81.

Oglethorpe's Anthony Maccaglia and Millsaps' Ryan Henry are tied for first at 2-under 69.

Entering Monday's second round, Huntingdon is in 18th. Oglethorpe leads the 18-team field with a score of 284, LaGrange is second at 286 and Rhodes College is third at 287.
