TUNICA, Miss. – The third-ranked Huntingdon men's golf team won the Rhodes Fall Classic with a dominant finish on Monday.

The 842 is the best three-round total for the Hawks during the NCAA era and Monday's 277 is tied for the second best single round by the Hawks during the NCAA era.

The University of Texas-Tyler finished seven strokes behind Huntingdon with a 15-under 849 and 25th-ranked LaGrange was third with an 8-under 856.

Texas-Tyler's Tyler Uhlig earned medalist honors with a 3-under 69 in the final round and a 13-under 203 for the tournament. Huntingdon senior Henry Gee placed second, two strokes behind Uhlig, with an 11-under 205.

A day after firing his best two rounds as a Hawk with a 4-under 68 and a 5-under 67, Gee closed the tournament with a 2-under 70 in the final round. Gee's 205 tied the Hawks' NCAA-era record for 54 holes set by Stephen Shephard last season.

Along with Gee, three other Hawks finished in the top-10. Shephard and Drew Mathers tied for sixth at 5-under 211 and playing as an individual, Ben Harris tied for 10th at 4-under 212.

Shephard, after shooting 1-over 73 and even-par 72 in the first two rounds, fired the best round of his collegiate career with a 6-under 66 in the final round.
