Huntingdon B-Team places 2nd in Chick-fil-A Invitational

ROME, Ga. – The Huntingdon B-Team earned a second-place finish in the Chick-fil-A Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club on Tuesday.

After shooting an even-par 288 in Round 1, the Hawks shot 306 in the final round to finish five strokes out of first with an 18-over-par 594. The LaGrange College varsity won the 19-team tournament with a 13-over 589 and the 23rd-ranked Berry College varsity was third with a 21-over 597.

All eight Huntingdon golfers finished within 10 strokes of first. Sophomore Cody Argade shot a 4-over 76 in the final round to finish five strokes off the lead and tied for sixth with a 5-over 149.

Sophomore Walker Hinds turned in the Hawks' best round on Tuesday with a 1-under 71. Hinds and senior Alex Aulerich finished six strokes out of first and tied for ninth at 6-over 150.

Junior Ben Harris finished eight strokes off the lead and tied for 24th with an 8-over 152 and sophomore Cam Page tied for 28th with a 9-over 153.

Playing as individuals, freshmen Dylan Webb and Ethan Unverzagt also tied for 28th at 9-over 153 and freshman Grant Gronka finished 10 strokes out of first and tied for 37th with a 10-over 154. Unverzagt turned in the Hawks' second best score in the final round with a 2-over 74.

LaGrange's Ben Womack and the Emory B-Team's Michael Rosenbloom tied for first at even-par 144.
