No. 2 Huntingdon closes fall season in O’Briant-Jensen Memorial

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 2-over-par 286 in the final round of the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial on Tuesday.

The second-ranked Hawks tied for seventh with a two-round 587. Twelfth-ranked Carnegie Mellon and third-ranked Emory each shot 7-over 575 to lead the tournament. Carnegie Mellon won the 22-team tournament in a tiebreaker.

Emory's Logan Ryan earned medalist honors with a 5-under 137. Huntingdon senior Drew Mathers and junior Owen Burt finished seven strokes out of first and tied for 12th at 2-over 144. Mathers and Burt each shot 1-under 70 in the final round.

Sophomore Cody Argade shot a 1-over 72 in the final round and finished with a 7-over 149. Sophomore Carson Whitton shot 3-over 74 in the final round and finished with an 8-over 150.

Junior Connor Bruce shot 5-over 76 on Tuesday and finished with a 12-over 154. Playing as an individual, sophomore Cam Page shot 4-over 75 in the final round and 11-over 153 for the tournament.

               

Coming Up: Huntingdon will play in the Savannah Harbor Classic on March 9-10.
