Four Huntingdon golfers named to Ping All-America teams

NORMAN, Okla. – Four Huntingdon golfers were recognized with the release of the Golf Coaches Association of America’s Division III Ping All-America teams. Owen Burt was named a second-team All-America selection, Grant Gronka and Walker Hinds were both named third-team and Carson Whitton was an honorable mention selection.

NORMAN, Okla. – Four Huntingdon Hawks were among those recognized with the release of the Golf Coaches Association of America’s PING All-Region teams. Owen Burt, Grant Gronka, Walker Hinds and Carson Whitton were named to the South Region team. All-Region teams were selected for six regions.

Huntingdon finishes 5th in NCAA Tournament

WHEELING, W.V. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team closed the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship with an 8-over-par 292 on Friday. The third-ranked Hawks finished fifth with a 54-over 1186. During the past five NCAA Tournaments, Huntingdon has finished in the top-five four times.

WHEELING, W.V. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team is in seventh entering the final round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship. Third-ranked Huntingdon shot 16-over-par 300 on Thursday. Entering Friday’s final round, the Hawks have a three-round total of 46-over 894.

WHEELING, W.V. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team remained in the top-six after the second round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship on Wednesday. Third-ranked Huntingdon shot 21-over-par 305 on the Speidel Jones Course. Entering Thursday’s third round, the Hawks are sixth at 30-over 594.

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA selection committee released the field for the 2021 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships on Monday. Third-ranked Huntingdon will be one of 36 teams competing at Oglebay Resort and Conference Center in Wheeling, W.V., on May 11-14.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team is in fifth with one round completed and the second round underway in the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament. Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, the conference is plying the three-round tournament in two days instead of three. The nine-team tournament features seven nationally ranked teams.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The second-ranked Huntingdon men’s golf team shot 8-over-par 296 in the final round and placed second in the Golfweek DIII Invitational with a 27-over 891. Highlighting the Hawks’ final round was John Gaal’s hole-in-one on Hole No. 15 of the El Campeon course, a 142-yard, par-3 hole.
