Huntingdon men’s soccer gives up late goal in loss to Emory & Henry

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team held Emory & Henry scoreless until the final nine minutes on Sunday.

But Emory & Henry 's Pierce Moreland scored in the 81st minute to give the Wasps a 1-0 win in a game played at Maryville College.

Huntingdon (1-2-1) took 13 shots for the game, including six shots on goal. The Wasps (1-3) took eight shots, five of which were shots on goal.

Sophomore Rhett Williams took five shots on goal for Huntingdon and Tyler Cox took one shot on goal.

Huntingdon keeper Sebastian Garcia recorded four saves in 90 minutes.

Huntingdon travels to LaGrange to open USA South Athletic Conference play on Wednesday. The game is set for 6:30 p.m.
