MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Ferrum's Asa Fox fired a shot on a Abass Osman assist in the 98th minute of action on Saturday to lift the Panthers to a 1-0 overtime win over the Huntingdon men's soccer team.

The Hawks opened the game strong with a goal just six minutes into action when Brendon Van Emelen found the corner of the goal on a strong assist from Jeremiah Eastman to give the Hawks an early 1-0 lead.

Ferrum tied things back up in the 23rd minute when Eddy Funes found the net to close scoring for the remainder of regulation.

Ferrum took 14 shots as a team to Huntingdon's 11. Colton Savage led the way with five shots and Van Emelen had three. Sebastian Garcia got the start in-goal for the Hawks and picked up six saves.

The Hawks return to action Sunday in a neutral-site game against Rhodes at 2 p.m. in Decatur, Ala.
