MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Nick Stinson scored on an assist from Jake Morgan and the Huntingdon men's soccer team made the lead count in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Covenant.
The win was the first conference victory for the Hawks (3-8-2, 1-4 USA South). Covenant, which is fourth in the conference standings, dropped to (8-5-3, 3-3-1).
Stinson's goal came in the 40th minute and was his only shot of the game. Morgan, Rhett Williams and Halston Michaud each took two shots and Colton Savage and Austin Stacey each took one shot.
Keeper Sebastian Garcia recorded 11 saves for the Hawks.
Huntingdon plays at Piedmont on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
