Hawks can’t hold off late rally by Spalding

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team led for the first 62 minutes on Sunday before Spalding rallied for a 2-1 win.

Miguel Medina scored on a penalty kick in the 34th minute to put Huntingdon (1-2) in front 1-0. Spalding (2-1) answered with two goals in 10 minutes midway through the second half. The Golden Eagles scored their first goal in the 62nd minute and added the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute.

Medina had two shots on goal for Huntingdon. Keeper Alex Brown finished with three saves and two goals allowed.

Huntingdon returns to action on Saturday at Sewanee in a 2:30 p.m. game.
