MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team stepped out of conference on Tuesday night and fell to NAIA opponent Point University 2-0.
The Hawks (2-9-1) held the Skyhawks (7-5-1) scoreless in the first-half and were outshot 6-5.
Point scored in the 64th and 77th minute to pull ahead 2-0. The Hawks placed five shots on goal in the second-half while Point had three shots-on-goal.
Brendon Van Emelen led the Hawks with five shots and four shots-on-goal.
Conner Howard had four shots and one-shot-goal while Mac Puller had three shots and one shot-on-goal. Killian Delmore had one shot for the Hawks.
Eathan Small got the start in goal and recorded seven saves and allowed two goals.
The Hawks host USA South Athletic Conference opponent N.C. Wesleyan on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Huntingdon soccer field.
