Hawks earn first NCAA-era win against Birmingham-Southern

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Sophomore Kelan LeBlanc scored two goals and junior Hunter Hall and freshman Taylor Bradley each scored one goal to lead the Huntingdon men's soccer team in a 4-2 win over Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday night.

The win was the Hawks' second in three games this season and the first against Birmingham-Southern during the NCAA era. This was the ninth meeting between the two teams as Division III programs since 2009.

Hall scored the first goal of the game on an assist from LeBlanc in the first three minutes of the game. Tied 1-1 early in the second half, LeBlanc scored back-to-back goals in a span of less than 30 seconds to put the Hawks in control.

Bradley's goal in the 65th minute put Huntingdon in front 4-1 before the Panthers scored a second goal in the final three minutes of the game.

 

Records: Huntingdon (2-1); Birmingham-Southern (0-2)

 

Notable: Huntingdon's 2-1 start marks the best start for the program since 2007.
