Huntingdon men’s tennis successful on road at USTA/ITA Regional

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team capped off a successful weekend at the USTA/ITA Regional Championships on Saturday at Sewanee with 14 combined wins in singles and doubles play.
Bobby Foroughian started his play on Friday with two wins before dropping his third round Saturday, as the No. 2 player Zac Baldwin split his two matches, both on Friday. Meyer Schwartsberg, Tyler Creamer, Tyler Chaffee, Justin McQueen and Trey Pirtle all split with one with and a loss.
Ryan Runager picked up two wins on Friday before dropping his third round match, while Eric Busch split his two matches and Seth McClendon dropped his only match.
Foroughian and Baldwin recorded two wins in doubles play (one by default), and Busch and McQueen won their first round of doubles action.
The 14 wins by the Hawks top the total from last year, a huge accomplishment for a tough tournament on the road shortened by inclement weather.
