Huntingdon men’s tennis downs Ferrum in conference opener

FERRUM, Va. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team opened conference play with a 9-0 win over Ferrum College on Monday.

The Hawks (4-2, 1-0 USA South) won all six singles matches in straight sets and won all three doubles matches. For the No. 1 doubles team of Bobby Foroughian and Zac Baldwin, it was the sixth win in six matches.

Sebastian Riveros Florez and Meyer Schwartzberg won at No. 2 doubles and Tyler Chaffee and Trey Pirtle won at No. 3 doubles.

Foroughian (No. 1), Florez (No. 2) Baldwin (No. 3), Justin McQueen (No. 4), Pirtle (No. 5) and Chaffee (No. 6) were the singles winners.

Huntingdon returns to conference play on Wednesday against Piedmont at LaGrange.
