Huntingdon men’s tennis picks up seventh 9-0 win of the season

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team won its seventh straight match with a 9-0 win over Covenant on Wednesday.

The victory was the seventh 9-0 win this season and the sixth in the last seven matches. Huntingdon won the other match in that span 8-1.

Huntingdon (9-2, 6-0 USA South) is one match out of first in the USA South Athletic Conference standings. North Carolina Wesleyan (7-4) leads the conference at 7-0.

Bobby Foroughian (No. 1), Sebastian Riveros Florez (No. 2), Meyer Schwartzberg (No. 3), Tyler Creamer (No. 4), Justin McQueen (No. 5) and Trey Pirtle (No. 6) each won their singles matches in straight sets for the Hawks.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Foroughian-Zac Baldwin (11-0 this season) and the No. 2 team of Florez-Creamer both won 8-2 and the No. 3 team of Pirtle-Tyler Chaffee won 8-1.

Huntingdon steps out of conference play on Thursday with a 1:30 p.m. match at Berry College.
