Hawks hand LaGrange first conference loss of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team won a key USA South match on Tuesday with a 9-0 win over LaGrange. It was the 10th straight victory for the Hawks.
The win moves Huntingdon (10-3, 7-0 USA South) into a tie for first place in the conference standings with North Carolina Wesleyan (9-5, 7-0 USA South). With its first conference loss of the season, LaGrange (7-3, 5-1 USA South) is third.
Bobby Foroughian (No. 1), Sebastian Riveros Florez (No. 2), Zac Baldwin (No. 4) and Aaron Triplett (No. 6) each won their singles matches in straight sets. John Jones (No. 3) and Trey Pirtle (No. 5) won in three sets.
In doubles, Foroughian-Baldwin won at No. 1, Florez-Meyer Schwartzberg won at No. 2 and Jones-Pirtle won at No. 3.
Huntingdon hosts Tuskegee on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
